Our Executive Board brings together young professionals united by their commitment to global surgery.
Rena is a physician with an MD-MBA from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health. She is an aspiring Orthopedic Surgeon currently working as an Orthopedic Hospitalist at St. Luke’s Medical Center and a Research Assistant at the University of the Philippines National Institutes of Health. She is the co-founder of InciSioN Philippines, a national network advocating for equitable surgical access. Her clinical and academic background spans surgery, health systems research, and medical education. Rena’s work reflects her commitment to interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to global surgery and health equity in resource-constrained settings.
Grace is a graduate of the University of the Philippines Manila through the Integrated Liberal Arts and Medicine (INTARMED) program. An aspiring surgeon, she is deeply passionate about global surgery, public health, and research. She currently serves on the Executive Board of InciSioN Philippines and has previously held leadership roles including Vice President for Activities at the Global Cardiac Surgery Initiative (GCSI), Regional Liaison for the Asia-Pacific Region at the Gender Equity Initiative in Global Surgery (GEIGS), and Vice President for External Affairs of the Asian Medical Students' Association - Philippines (AMSA-Phil). Grace is dedicated to advancing equitable surgical care and contributing to systemic improvements in global health through advocacy, research, and collaboration.
Michelle graduated Doctor of Medicine from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Centre. She is currently a lead researcher at the Institute of Health Policy and Development Studies at the University of the Philippines-Manila National Institutes of Health, focusing on health systems research and policy analysis. Michelle has held key leadership roles in the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), including Regional Director for Asia-Pacific, where she led initiatives on global health, SRHR, and medical education and took responsibility for the representation and communication with the high-level partners (WHO, UN, UNAIDS, etc.) on a regional level.
Lloyd is a cum laude graduate of medicine from the Far Eastern University - Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation and an aspiring Laparoscopic Surgeon. He has extensive experience in publicity and public relations, having served as Publicity Officer for AMSA-Philippines and Philippine Chapter Representative to the AMSA-International eNewsletter. In these roles, he led branding strategies, managed digital platforms, and produced advocacy-driven content to promote public health. He currently practices as a general physician while continuing to engage in health communication and surgical equity initiatives.
Pamela is a Doctor of Medicine graduate of the Integrated Liberal Arts and Medicine (INTARMED) Program from the University of the Philippines - Manila (UP Manila). As a student, she has taken active leadership positions under the UP Medical Students for Social Responsibility, the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations, and led the establishment of the Capacity Building division of the Asian Medical Students’ Association – Philippines. Since graduating from medical school, she has been involved in project management and research focused on promotive and preventive health, health equity, and social innovations in health. She is currently the Hub Manager of the Social Innovation in Health Initiative - Philippines under the UP Manila National Institutes of Health. Her interests include travel and cultural immersion, innovative and collaborative work for inclusivity, gender equality, mental health, universal healthcare, and medical education.
